PAMPER AND TREAT YOUR FACE WITH NATURAL CLAY | 11. Mar, 2022

Are you looking for the product that will help you treat your acne prone face, wrinkles, fine lines etc, look no more, just try natural clay, it works like magic.

Natural clay has a natural ability to soak up most materials, which means when applied as a mask directly onto your skin, it will help unclog toxins and give your face a brighter look.

 There are too many products on the market today that have outrageous detox benefits. The sad truth is that many of these products can’t actually back up many of these claims. As with most things in life, especially when it comes to your health and beauty, it’s usually best to take a more natural approach. That’s exactly why I am sharing this ancient clay mask recipe for making the best homemade face mask ever and other mask used in these recent days.

CALABASH CLAY OR NATIVE MUD OR CHALK (African Kaolin Clay)

Calabash clay or native mud or chalk is an edible clay that is found mainly in Nigeria and other West African countries

It is called Nzu in igbo, Ndom in Efik and Ibibio, Eko in Bini and Edo

 In the olden days our grand mothers used it on their skins as and antiperspirant, beautifying agent on their bodies, and as facial mask too in those days.

 Calabash clay contains heavy metals like arsenic and lead, which can be dangerous.

The major component of calabash chalk is aluminum silicate hydroxide. It also contains an excessive amount of lead. In fact, the amount of lead in food should not exceed 1 mg/kg, but the amount of lead present in calabash chalk has been reported to be between 10–50 mg/kg.

Other substances present in calabash chalk include Aluminum, organic pollutants, silicon, iron, alpha lindane, chromium, arsenic endrin, and endosulfan 11.

BENTONITE CLAY;

Bentonite is my go-to acne busting clay. It’s the star ingredient of so many of my acne face mask recipes, purely because of its effectiveness.

Bentonite clay can swell up to multiply times its size when mixed with a liquid, and releases a ton of minerals into the paste it is mixed with. Those minerals actually do a cation exchange on your skin. Which means it swaps the good minerals from the clay with same charged ions on your skin. This removes bad ions like chemicals, toxins and heavy metals from your skin. It’s a very effective detox and gives you an insane cleansing effects.

There are a lot of everyday uses for Bentonite clay. But I can only put down few on this article.
