PERSEVERANCE/THE SNAILS AND NOAH'S ARK | 20. Mar, 2022

PERSEVERANCE/THE SNAILS AND NOAH'S ARK | 20. Mar, 2022

I want to let you know that there's no competition in destiny, what is yours is yours, It might not be or look like it now, but it will surely manifest.

Dictionary meaning of perseverance:

persistence in doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success.

One of my favorite Bible verses about perseverance highlights the importance of not giving up.

But learning to thrive even in times of struggle.

James 1:12 says, “Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love Him.” I love this reminder to stay faithful and determined in my Christian journey.

Pace is a single step taken when walking or running.

Move or develop (something) at a particular rate or speed.

Walk at a steady speed, especially without a particular destination and as an expression of anxiety or annoyance.

Naturally "we paced up and down in exasperation"

As our faces, names and personalities are different, so is our gifts, talents and destiny.

Do you remember that the snails entered Noah's ark as well?

Noah's family and the other animals had to wait until the pair finally made it into the ark due to their slow pace.

Until the snails entered ark, the door could not be shut.

The fingers on our hands are not equal, so our strength, capabilities and grace are not the same, sometimes in life, it may appear that some people who are 'faster' than you have gone ahead of you, chill, be patient, God has set before you an open door that no man can shut.

No man can enter your space, they will have to wait till you arrive.

Sometimes we wrestle like Jacob, trying to figure out our next move. Clinging with hope that things will get better and we’ll see a blessing later. When you read these Bible verses about perseverance you’ll notice some things in common.

"Then Jacob was left alone, and a man wrestled with him until daybreak. When he saw that he had not prevailed against him, he touched the socket of his thigh; so the socket of Jacob’s thigh was dislocated while he wrestled with him. Then He said, ‘Let me go, for the dawn is breaking.’ But he said, ‘I will not let You go unless You bless me.'”

Genesis 32:24-26

It may take time, but you will surely get there. Sometimes it is so easy to want to compare ourselves with others, forgetting that we are not configured the same way.

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand"

Isaiah 41:10

. Divine Strength

God strengthens s to be able to persevere.

“My soul is weary with sorrow; strengthen me according to Your word.” Aren’t you glad we don’t have to rely only on our own, human, fallible strength when we are following the Lord’s leading?

. Attitude Matters

“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.” This isn’t the only verse that reminds us to keep an attitude of hope, to stay patient, and to check in with the Lord on a regular basis through prayer.

. Supernatural Blessings

The Lord will bless us to survive.

“You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what He has promised.” We know that we have a reward waiting for us and nothing can take that away from us.

It was PERSEVERANCE that made the snails enter the ark. Genesis 7:15 says

Pairs of all creatures that have the breath of life in them came to Noah and entered the ark.

It may only take time, but eventually, the stammerer will pronounce his father's name.

Those who were tired of the slow pace of the snails probably had to pick them up and put them in the ark: That's called divine assistance, grace, divine aid, or a divine push.

Sometimes, people who do not like your pace and style will in a bid to frustrate you, end up pushing you into your divine location.

Joseph's brothers were not happy with him, in a bid to destroy his destiny, they unknowingly sponsored for his travelling documents and transportation fare to his place of destiny.

Genesis 37:18-28

18. They saw him from a distance. Before he reached them, they plotted to kill him.

19.They said to each other, “Look, here comes that master dreamer!

 20. Let’s kill him, throw him into one of the cisterns, and say that a wild animal has eaten him. Then we’ll see what happens to his dreams.”

21. When Reuben heard this, he tried to save Joseph from their plot. “Let’s not kill him,” he said.

22 “Let’s not have any bloodshed. Put him into that cistern that’s out in the desert, but don’t hurt him.” Reuben wanted to rescue Joseph from them and bring him back to his father.

23. So when Joseph reached his brothers, they stripped him of his special robe with long sleeves.

24. Then they took him and put him into an empty cistern. It had no water in it.

25. As they sat down to eat, they saw a caravan of Ishmaelites coming from Gilead. Their camels were carrying the materials for cosmetics, medicine, and embalming. They were on their way to take them to Egypt.

26. Judah asked his brothers, “What will we gain by killing our brother and covering up his death?

 27. Let’s sell him to the Ishmaelites. Let’s not hurt him, because he is our brother, our own flesh and blood.” His brothers agreed.

28. As the Midianite merchants were passing by, the brothers pulled Joseph out of the cistern. They sold him to the Ishmaelites for eight ounces of silver. The Ishmaelites took him to Egypt.

Genesis 41: 41-44

41 Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I hereby put you in charge of the entire land of Egypt.”

42 Then Pharaoh removed his signet ring from his hand and placed it on Joseph’s finger. He dressed him in fine linen clothing and hung a gold chain around his neck.

43 Then he had Joseph ride in the chariot reserved for his second-in-command. And wherever Joseph went, the command was shouted, “Kneel down!” So Pharaoh put Joseph in charge of all Egypt.

44 And Pharaoh said to him, “I am Pharaoh, but no one will lift a hand or foot in the entire land of Egypt without your approval.”

And who provided the vehicle?

The Isheamiltes (Abraham's mistake years back was a stepping stone for his great grandson Joseph).

Genesis 16:1-3 &15

1. Now Sarai, Abram’s wife, had not been able to bear children for him. But she had an Egyptian servant named Hagar.

2. So Sarai said to Abram, “The Lord has prevented me from having children. Go and sleep with my servant. Perhaps I can have children through her.” And Abram agreed with Sarai’s proposal.

3. So Sarai, Abram’s wife, took Hagar the Egyptian servant and gave her to Abram as a wife.

15. So Hagar gave Abram a son, and Abram named him Ishmael. 16 Abram was eighty-six years old when Ishmael was born.

(This happened ten years after Abram had settled in the land of Canaan.)

I urge you to always remember that there is an open door God has set before you, and no man can shut it. You will get there, it may only take a little time, but surely you will get there.

Isaiah 22:22

I will give him the key to the house of David the highest position in the royal court. When he opens doors, no one will be able to close them; when he closes doors, no one will be able to open them.

Habakkuk 2:3

For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.
